I was sitting with two friends and colleagues the other day speaking about some of the coaching practices I guide my clients through. I shared a story that ended with “have you fallen in love with yourself?” My friend sat up taller in her seat and stopped me for a second to explain what I meant and share how I have gone on this journey myself.
It took me down memory lane and as I shared the “highlights” of what I unlayered and the memorable moments where I could feel the energy changing within me, my friend started to tear up. The truth is, I come off as a confident woman, I always have but internally - that’s not at all how I felt. My insecurities and shame talk really were driving my consciousness and the conversations I was having with myself. And one day - I had decided to seek out guidance - which brought me down a path that crumbled me and allowed me to learn how I fall in love with myself and the life I lead. The impact is loud and big both from within and felt by those in my collective. From being my own case study, I now guide my clients to grow their confidence by falling in love with themselves first.
Here are a few moments recently that I remember saying “gosh do I love this life I’m creating and how much I love myself for showing up every day.”

The process isn’t linear and it encourages you to become an active listener while creating structures and routines that hold you accountable. Similar to training programs within businesses, the toolkit needs to be built for you while defining words and your process.
The path can feel sticky at times and I promise it’s worth stepping through the discomfort to arrive at the top, in a rooted and confident place, leading yourself first so you can kindly lead others. As I remind myself often, “the view from the top is always worth the uphill climb”.

Love this question and perspective. As I was recently heading out the door for a tea and creativity date, which included going to the library - I stopped myself and literally said, 'I get to do this'. Thanks for the reminder to stop and tap into the love available, all around us.
