We spend a lot of energy and time awaiting for positive feedback and praise from others. That's TOTALLY human. However, it's draining, it's exhausting, and a lot of times, it comes too far and in between that the impact is usually disappointing. And it leaves you craving more, and never really being able to receive the recognition from the outside.Â
Try celebrating from within. It's really uncomfortable. It feels almost like you have a big ego or too much pride. But let me tell you something - YOU SHOULD when it comes to giving yourself recognition for what you are proud of it. Celebrating yourself daily is a small gesture with a big impact. You don't have to share this within anyone but yourself.
I invite you to give this a try. Celebrate one thing you are proud of every single day. Give it space, let it be heard - pat yourself on the back, applaud yourself or high five yourself in the mirror. Yes, it'll feel weird at first, maybe, but then notice the energy from within that lights you up! Your whole self will feel a shift, and you'll be more excited to encourages your teammates and those around you to the do the same.Â
